If you feel like you’ve seen the color blocking trend for quite a few seasons now, then you’re not imagining things!

The color blocking trend has been around since Spring 2011, and there are reasons why. For one, it is constantly updating itself. It is also very versatile in that in can be incorporated into almost any outfit!

The color blocking trend has been seen on the likes of Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, Rihanna, and Demi Moore, proving that people of all different style walks and ages can rock this trend.

This trend is wonderful if you want to carefully test the waters of color blocking without diving in head first. It will only take up a small portion of your outfit, but it will be fabulous! Spice up a workout outfit with casual tennis shoes, or add a pop of color with sky high pumps for a night out on the town.

This trend is certainly for the risk takers, and if done right, color blocked makeup can look magnificent. If you are a bit hesitant to take part in this trend, then taking it step by step is key. First, start with a bold lip color, such as a vibrant peach or tangerine. Once you’re comfortable with that, add a bold eye color to the mix, such as an aqua blue eye shadow and/or eyeliner. Once that becomes a breeze, add a pop of pink blush. Voila! You now have a color blocked makeup look!
